Harper Contracting is an important highway constructor and plays an integral role in keeping traffic moving along our nation’s freeways.
Harper Contractinghhw understands the challenges that specific projects present, whether it’s working around traffic on a busy freeway or building in environmentally sensitive terrain. We have successfully completed many projects as general contractor in different States that we are licensed.
Since starting out in 1985, Harper contracting has made its reputation by participating on the toughest jobs in the heavy-highway industry in Utah.  Most these project have short time schedules and challenging conditions to be completed. During all these years, we managed to complete our projects successfully and established a great relationship with owners and different government agencies in various states.

Along freeways in Utah, you can see our beautifull MSE Wall, Noise Walls (fabricated by our Harper Precast division and installed by our Contracting Division), to widening and reconstruction of roads in different areas. Safety is a great Value at Harper Contracting. Safety is always top in our list of priorities. To make sure we are current with all safety information and techniques, we invite OSHA to our projects frequently for safety consultations and to verify their standard of conformance. Our commitment to provide a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment for everyone. We require our employees to pay careful attention to all safety policies, and abide by them diligently. Our safety and health program has been developed to assure our compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and to meet any occupational safety and health rules and regulations that apply to all states where we are operating.

We follow the following procedures in our project:

  • A written Injury and Illness Prevention Program
  • A Hazard Program
  • Weekly safety meetings and  job site inspections
  • A safety orientation conducted for new hires
  • A supervisor/employee training program
